If It Walks Like A Duck………..

Can we finally just drop all pretenses and call the Obama Administration what it really is?  The most corrupt administration in the history of our country?  Yes the mass media in this country will continue to whitewash the Chicago thuggery because that’s what the mass media does and has done since the President’s pre-election days.  But does the American public or more to the point, WILL the American public continue to ignore the not-so-tiny elephant in the room?

This morning I woke up to the news that Abake Assongba,  a top Obama campaign election donor has been accused of fraud.  She and her husband scammed over $650,000 from unsuspecting victims so that she could build a million dollar home while bailing out on back rent that goes back years.  Perhaps this type of thing might not seem like such an unusual occurrence in the day to day politics of either side of the aisle.  But in the case of this administration it is just one more log thrown on top of what has become a bonfire.  Just last month the Obama campaign quietly returned $200,000 to the two brothers of a Mexican fugitive from justice who is wanted on Federal drug charges.

President Obama has surrounded himself with Chicago cronies that have no allegiance at all to the Constitution.  Their allegiance is only to The Anointed One.  The sheer magnitude of the thuggery would fill pages here, but suffice to say that Michelle Malkin has done an excellent job of that, thank you, and sufficiently so to create an entire bestselling book titled “Culture of Corruption:  Obama and His Team Of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies” with the details.

In a government where hypocrisy is taken for granted these days,  this group of cronies, Czars, non-confirmed appointments made by Obama when his whim deems the Senate to be in “recess”, backdoor payoffs to unions and cronies in the “green” (Solyndra) initiatives,  the appointment of lobbyists to key administration positions after telling voters that he wouldn’t take a dime from lobbyists ,  political payoffs with “stimulus” money and coziness with the banks and corporations that he criticizes daily is nothing short of astounding.

Compared to the “good old days” when corruption was defined as an email scandal with a Congressional Page, toe tapping to the next person in a restroom stall or other personal failings that might be of interest to the constituents back home in the next election cycle, we’re running with the big dogs now.

Let’s just begin with asking Obama’s own Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, the guy who is in charge of the I.R.S. why he owed over $42,000 in taxes that he says he “simply overlooked”.  Or Charlie Rangel, the Democratic Tax Panel Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, who didn’t declare income on beachfront rental property he’s owned since 1988,  who had a credit union account with as much as $500,000 in it and never reported it, and had investment accounts worth approximately the same which was also never reported.  Oh and then there’s the three rental properties in New Jersey….. Rangel was finally censured after walking out on the ethics panel that was investigating him, eventually stepping down from his Chairman post, but not before New York voters gleefully handed him another re-election victory just weeks before his scheduled ethics trial.

The real tragedy here is that rather than holding these people to account, the Democrats have looked the other way and made such behavior a defining characteristic of their party.
