Boston Bombings: Bad News for the Mainstrem Media: It wasn’t the Tea Party.

Share

BostonSuspectWithin minutes of the Boston bombings, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and others in the Liberal Mainstream Media were irresponsibly speculating without any sort of information at all that the bombers could have very likely been “far right” extremists.   Tea Party members, as it were, because Liberals consider anyone who believes in American history, values,  and our Constitution to be a "right-wing extremist".  David Sirota from the far Left website Salon.com wrote an article on April 16th in which he prayed “Let’s Hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American.”   Also in that article, Sirota quotes author David Wise as follows:  "White privilege is knowing that even if the bomber turns out to be white, no one will call for your group to be profiled as terrorists as a result, subjected to special screening or threatened with deportation”.

Well David(s)….Chris…..and others that pray at the altar of “blaming white privilege”, what do we do now?  Even though you got the “white” part right, you’ll have to square that with your statement that “no one will call for your group to be profiled as terrorists as a result”, because these boys are about as white as white can be.  Yet they will most certainly be profiled as terrorists, and deservedly so.

As I write this, Tamerlan Tsarnaev who was the “first” suspect in the bombings has been killed in a shootout with police, and the second suspect, younger brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is the subject of an intense manhunt in Watertown, MA.  The brothers came from the Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars.  Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had previously identified himself as a Muslim on his Facebook page.  So David (s) and Chris…let’s put 2 and 2 together, and watch you all, as usual, come up with 5.

More to come……

Update 4/21/2013:

According to media accounts, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother, Tamerlan, were Muslims who recently gravitated to a radical strain of Islam, going so far as to post Anti-American, jihadist videos on social-media sites. Both are thought to have as-yet-unprobed ties to a radical Muslim cleric hellbent on the destruction of the American way of life.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, having been captured alive, is lying in a hospital in Boston.  He is currently in no shape to be interrogated, and is rumored to have been shot in the jaw.  Since that precludes his speaking to police for the 48 hours that he could be questioned under the exception to the Miranda law called the "Public Safety Exception", this presents a quandary for authorities.  They want to specifically question him about the organization he may or may not have been a part of, the nature of the bombs, the location of any more bombs that remain undetonated, etc.  As long as they don't ask him questions that would would specifically fall outside of keeping the public safe from further harm, they can glean invaluable information from him.  Once that 48 hour period has expired, he will then fall under the rule of the traditional Miranda law and will have to be read his rights.

That period of 48 hours could be extended by declaring Tsarnaev a potential enemy combatant, under the Law of War.  Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina; John McCain, Arizona; and Kelly Ayotte, New Hampshire,  in addition to Rep. Peter King of New York are asking for such an extension.

More to come as the story unfolds:
